To match the conical or parallel bimetallic barrel the screw flights will be coated and welded with Ni60 alloy.
PARALLEL
- Bimetallic alloy: Nickel-base alloy
- Components of alloy: Ni60% + Cr16% + Si4% + Bo3.6% + Ca1% + Fe14.4%
- Alloy thickness: 2-3mm
- Alloy hardness: 55-60HRC
- Life time: 2-3 times than nitrided twin barrel
- All flights will be coated and welded with Ni60 alloy
Conical
Two parts: from the input feed to the vent we use material 38CrMoAlA (1.8550) as barrel body and do the nitriding.
From vent to output (most wear area) we use material 38CrMoAlA (1.8550) as barrel body and put SKD61 jacket into the barrel holes.
